  I went to this place almost a year ago for breakfast and was just reminded of how bad it was and had to write a review. The place has an excellent atmosphere and decor, however the food took FOREVER and was very mediocre. On top of that the portions were pathetic. If I buy a $15 eggs Benedict I expect to have a meal; they gave me like 7 home fries. Everyone else in my group felt the same and were saying they could comfortably eat two of their breakfast orders. We left hungry and wasted over 2.5 hours of our time. Is it to much to ask to for a decent amount of home fries?! Potatoes are insanely cheap.

  We enjoyed our meals. The server was more than attentive and very polite. We also enjoyed dessert and spent a long time conversing afterwards. At no time did I feel that the server was trying to move us along. I appreciated their hospitality.

  Pros: large portion sizes, lovely decor. Cons: overpriced ($3.50 for a regular coffee), subpar service (got order wrong, inattentive even though it was not busy).

  Symposium is my favorite place to eat in Guelph. The food is amazing and be sure to ask for Conrad as your waiter ; he is the best waiter I have ever had in my life. Wednesday get Mussels Florentine only 10.95 and so delicious also 33% off apps from 4-6..... I get an extra one mussels dish as take out as well for my husband

  Really great service and general atmosphere. Food was tasty for all the 8 people who went. All round must visit!
